Insurance Specialist

Description

OMNI Orthopaedics’ Insurance specialist position provides Physician/patient support in all aspects of account receivables and accounts payable while providing excellent costumer service in a fast paced work environment.

This is a full-time position. Core days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Position hours vary based on the needs of the practice.  Earlier start time may be needed.

Experience Needed

Minimum of one year in a medical office Insurance/billing position

Functions and Duties

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance
  • Communicates effectively with co-workers
  • Invaluable customer service skills

Administrative Duties:

  • Posting payments, Charge entry, Adjustments, Insurance appeals, Precertification/authorization, Refunds, and AR accountability
  • Communication between Physicians and Patients via telephone or in person
  • Any/all tasks assigned by Coordinator or Management

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear.
  • This position is very sedentary but also requires standing and walking during the day.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
