COVID-19 GUIDELINES

As the Coronavirus has become an evolving and uncertain public health issue affecting people globally and close to home, we want to reassure you that nothing is more important than the health, safety and well-being of our patients at OMNI Orthopaedics and OASIS Surgery Center. As a result, if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms or have a fever, we kindly request that you reschedule your appointment.

What to Expect at Your OMNI Appointment

If possible, please check your temperature before you come to your appointment. If you have a fever (temperature of 100.4 or higher), we ask that you call in and reschedule your appointment for at least two weeks out.
We will ask the following questions upon your arrival as part of our staff and patient safety screening process.

Outpatient Screening for COVID-19

  • Have you or any member in your immediate household traveled to or from China, South Korea, Iran, or Japan within the last 14 days?
  • Within the last 14 days, have you been in close contact* with any person diagnosed (laboratory confirmed) with COVID-19?
  • Are you experiencing acute respiratory illness? Meaning a fever (100.4 or higher), cough, and/or shortness of breath that cannot be explained by other health conditions?

*Close contact is defined as being within approximately 6 feet of a COVID-19 case for a prolonged period. This can occur while caring for, living with, visiting, or sharing a healthcare waiting room with a COVID-19 case or having direct contact with infections secretions of a COVID-10 case (e.g., be coughed on.)

What We Are Doing

  • We conduct daily employee screenings at the start of each shift to determine if each staff member is fit to work.
  • Our staff is required to wear face masks that cover both the mouth and nose.
  • We are practicing social distancing throughout our office at all times possible.
  • We provide hand sanitizing stations for patients and employees.
  • We clean and sanitize all workplaces & high touch areas throughout the day and at the end of each business day.

What We Need From Our Patients

  • Please wear a mask or face covering that shields both your nose and mouth.
  • If you have any signs of illness we ask that you reschedule your appointment.
  • Practice social distancing of 6 feet whenever possible, including when you are seated in the waiting room.
  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for 20 seconds or more.
  • Please have no more than one person accompany you to your appointment. If your guest is not going back to the exam room with you, we politely request that they wait in the car.
